Why You Need a Retrofit Coordinator Depending on the level of service you choose, we can help you with all of the following matters: Risk Management: We identify potential pitfalls (like thermal bridging or ventilation issues) before any installation works are started. Energy Efficiency Measures: We assess your property and create correctly sequenced installation plans that we can either supervise for you or hand them over for you to work directly with your chosen contractors. Design Oversight: We review the retrofit designs to ensure they are technically sound and compatible with your specific property type. Quality Assurance: We check that the work meets the required standards throughout the build. The "Whole-House" View: We ensure that "Improvement A" doesn’t accidentally break "System B." For PAS 2035 projects we provide our services throughout the project from start to finish. However, for non-PAS 2035 projects, many clients like initial guidance on preparing their property for energy efficiency upgrades and then prefer to manage the process themselves - our "two step" process: 1. The Retrofit Assessment: We visit your property to document its current condition, energy use and ventilation to produce a detailed data-profile of your home's current performance. 2. The Retrofit Strategy: We analyze the data to create an initial "Improvement Options Evaluation" which is then refined with your input to create a bespoke "Medium-Term Improvement Plan" - your strategic roadmap of what to upgrade and in what order. Works can be completed either in steps over a period of time to suit available funds or in a single phase. Our additional services include: 3. Selecting Contractors: We can help identify suitably competent installers and also help you and your installers understand the technical requirements to ensure the design is followed perfectly. 4. The Installation: Once work begins we can oversee quality control and handle any technical hiccups to avoid common pitfalls like damp or thermal bridging. 5. Handover & Evaluation: We can check the work, show you how to use your new systems and arrange performance monitoring to ensure targets are met.
